Mission Statement

Our mission is to protect life and property with leading edge fire/rescue and emergency medical services. We will strive for continuous improvements in safety, efficiency, innovative training, public education, professionalism, and compassionate customer service.

Founded in 1948, the White Lake Township Fire Department began as an all volunteer department, slowly evolving into a combination Career/Paid On-Call department.

The White Lake Township Fire Department has 16-Full Time/Career Firefighters including the Fire Chief, 30-Paid On-Call Firefighters and 1-Clerical person.

The 37 square miles of White Lake Township are covered 24-hours a day, 7-days a week by our Career personnel split between 3-shifts. Each day the maximum number of personnel is 6 and the minimum is 1. The Paid On-Call firefighters support the career staff and respond to emergencies from their homes at any time of the day or night.

We currently provide a basic life support service to the community. Our department has 29-Licensed EMTs and 11-Licensed Paramedics.
